LARRY MENDTE COMMENTARY: Debt Ceiling

With all due respect to The Who, “meet the old boss, same as the old boss” is a line that is easily applied to politics and our elected officials, be they, democrats or republicans.

As Larry Mendte explains in this RoseBud Commentary, as a country, we are far beyond the chance to pay our debt, and neither side has a plan to fix it anytime soon.  Bitcoin anyone?  Just a joke.  The cryptocurrency world is worth only a tenth of our debt.  There appears no way out, and for that reason, this Congress, this president, is doing the same thing as their predecessors for the past 60 years, regardless of party or principles.  They are about to raise the ceiling, again, but it’s more than the ceiling, more than a roof, it’s our sky without a seeming limit.
