There is little question that when it comes to athletic competition, men have an advantage.
This is the reason we have women’s sports, so that women can enjoy a fair competition.
And while it may be fair to transgender women to allow them to compete with women, Larry Mendte points out in this Commentary that it may be unfair to women who are up for winning events, events that in many cases can mean scholarships.
All of this is now in the news because of an executive order signed by President Joe Biden that will allow transgender females to compete with biological females in school districts across the country.
The executive order says “Children should be able to learn without worrying about whether they will be denied access to the restroom, the locker room, or school sports.”
Some famous names in women’s sports disagree. The topic is one of great debate. Larry Mendte takes a look at this, what’s going on, and offers his thoughts. After you watch, please write @mendte and offer yours.
