LARRY MENDTE COMMENTARY: Unity

For any of us self-respecting news organizations trying to report the news in a fair way, these have been trying weeks.
As Larry Mendte points out, after a brief call for unity, we’re back at each other’s throats, and so are the people in Congress. (Larry has some thoughts about that).
Let’s face it. It’s hard to figure out what’s going on and who’s telling the truth.
And the news, especially the cable channels, make it even more so.
But as Larry points out, there are reasons why we always seem to be arguing. Or even what the notion of “unity” means.
