The Big One: Anniversary Of Ahmaud Arbery’s Death

One year ago today Ahmaud Arbery was killed in Georgia by three men who decided their version of justice was rational.

As the three men sit in jail awaiting a trial date that has yet to be set, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp is working to abolish the states Civil War Era Citizens Arrest Law, which allows a “private person to arrest an offender if the offense is committed in his presence or within his immediate knowledge.”

These changes can either unite or divide us and Cobb County District Attorney Flynn Broady thinks “It has the ability to do both. And I am hoping, I am hoping it will unite us.”
