On this day in music for November 12th. The year is 1945, when Canadian singer-song writer Neil Young came into the world. Neil Young scored his own number one in the U.S. with his song Heart of Gold.  Jumping ahead to 1997, The Spice Girls would reach number one on the UK album chart with their second album “Spiceworld”.  And in 2001, the three remaining Beatles met for the last time at George Harrison’s hotel in New York City for lunch.  Just two weeks later, the “Quiet Beatle” George Harrison would die after a long battle with cancer.
