There is a new scuba diving adventure in Greece. A first-of-its-kind underwater museum opened on Monday, August 3rd. Explore a shipwreck that is over 2,500 years old, but was not discovered until 1985.
The site of the museum is just off the coast of the uninhabited islet of Peristera. It is located just 25 meters below the surface and shows well-preserved jugs that were assumed to be full of wine at the time of the shipwreck.
Only licensed divers can take part in the pilot trial that runs until the beginning of October, but visitors can take a virtual reality at the information center as well.
